Our single-vineyard wines come from one dedicated farming family, truly reflecting the best of the best from that particular year. The Roennfeldt family has been farming their land in the western reaches of the Barossa Valley for six generations, near the village of Greenock. Descended from the original settlers, the family takes immense pride in producing grapes of superb quality that reflect the red, loamy soils abundant in the western grounds. These richly flavoured and textured wines are known for their abundant dark berry and black cassis fruit notes — the hallmark of this unique slice of the Barossa. Firm yet elegant tannins highlight the Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard’s distinctive origins. This wine was traditionally open-fermented, softly pressed, and aged in oak barrels for a period of two years prior to bottling. It has been lovingly crafted to age gracefully, offering its finest for 10 or more years from its release.
he plains of Ebenezer have yielded small crops of intensely flavoured Shiraz grapes for many years - and the Hoffmann’s have been a part of the local northern ground landscape of the Barossa Valley for 6 generations. So typical of this little patch of grape paradise, it shows the concentration and weight of tannin expected from this patch of ground. Dark black and blue fruit, a big spicy smile, subtle French oak that compliments the spicy notes and a finish that goes on and on. Firm and fleshy, full flavoured and friendly. Cellar for years to come if you want, or dive in now and see the brightness of youth.
Just like its red counterpart, Grenache Blanc has often been blended with other wines, preventing it from revealing its true beauty. However, we have allowed this white wine to stand alone and showcase its full potential.
