The cellar dweller Cabernet Sauvignon is my go to red. This wine is fantastic in that it is smooth, rich and flavoursome without too many tannins, or a shallow finish. Has all the usual black current, oak enhanced flavours and complexity that want you drinking more with blue cheese and olives. A moderately price wine that boxes well above its weight in the high end of town. Whilst the Barossa is know for its Shiraz, this Cab Sav is fantastic.
